The Reconditioning Technician is a key team member that will be responsible for maintaining high quality and safety standards on the wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions we produce by inspecting, removing and repairing electronic gas and brake systems, digitally controlled joystick driving systems, and adaptive equipment on vehicles.

The Reconditioning Technician is a key team member that will be responsible for maintaining high quality and safety standards on the wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions we produce by inspecting, removing and repairing electronic gas and brake systems, digitally controlled joystick driving systems, and adaptive equipment on vehicles.
What you'll do:
- Remove previously installed adaptive equipment from vehicles.
- Perform trouble-shooting of adaptive equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Complete all tasks within specified timeframes.
- Maintain compliance with Freedom Motors quality and safety standards, policies and procedures, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Follow both written and verbal work instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
What you’ll need:
- High School Diploma or GED is required. Coursework beyond High School Diploma preferred.
- Previous diagnostic experience in the automotive industry.
- Strong electrical and/or automotive wiring skills.
- Proficiency in working with hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
- Outstanding attendance record and reliability.
